He was brought onto the shelter as a criminal, meant to be used as a disposable guinea pig.
His crime was cannibalizing his friend during the apocalypse. Famine had plagued many places, and though the friend was dead, he hallucinated him to be alive and pleaded guilty to murder. The guilt ate him up so he asked for Typus to remove his emotions in exchange for being his test subject.

Hi!! I loved this game so much! Please make the endings with the other characters too.. I would also love to get more story and characters, and to know what else happens after the ending! Maybe a good ending part where we spend time with them! Is it possible to make it a bit more romantic? I how tsundere Odus seems

hello! idk if it’s a me problem😓 or there’s smth wrong but after i downloaded the game for some reason the audio files got imported into my spotify local files… I just wanted to share this in case it’s not only my problem!
I think that might be Spotify setting, it shouldn't do it if you have local files in the settings turned off~

this game is actually so well made. i loved all of the character designs and the world building even with this short playthrough!! i also loved the mc and how they said the bow made them cute-- i thought that was pretty adorable to say the least. i mean just look at the title page blobfish with the bow?!??! creator youre so creative i love it! thank you for the awesome experience!!

first of all, obsessed with odus hes great even (lowkey especially) in his scary shark form, tho i will say its a little bit dissapointing that hes a great white(? theres one point where the mc calls him that) instead of a goblin or greenland shark, love his character design tho, and the rulers of the sea ending was cute
so! since we see the monsters as human do they see us as human? or are we weird for seeing them differently? the doctor said the infection makes monsters more appealing to you but are we rare in seeing them as wholly different creatures?
also!! can they reproduce. im asking for very normal very sane reasons obviously. (:

Thank you! All the boys are a mix of at least one modern fish and one 'living fossil'.
Odus is a mix of a Great White and Frilled shark, his design is mainly inspired off a frilled shark. Vitus is a tigerfish/viperfish and cloelacanth mix. Typus is a whaleshark and false killer whale, but I'm still not 100% sure on his mix yet...
Odus and Vitus see you as a blobfish since they were made by Typus, who was a member of project mermaid, but had a separate lab and ran his own experiments(And he isn't even a scientist, just an occult historian).
So the only one hallucinating is the player since they were programmed that way by the scientists. The scientists of project mermaid wanted mermaids to see eachother as appealing humans and procreate in a human way, so their reproductive organs would stay humanoid-ish.
Also worth noting that Typus has modified your body since you were on the verge of death after being thrown out by the shelter, then dropped you down to one of Tigerfish's dumps - leading you to the beginning of the game. I'm not sure what Typus would do to keep his test subjects fertile, but I'll say he's an unorthodox creep and leave it up to your imagination. XD
oooooh!! that’s v interesting! the lore in this game is sick, if you have more ideas im sure ppl would love to see more of this universe (whether game updates or art or literally just text based lore lol im invested)
anyway kinda cute that odus still likes us when we’re a fleshy blob with a bow. i want him to squish me (not necessarily in a kinky way but also i would not say no to it being kinky)

Bro. This game was so cute I can't! It made my day, I just keep getting more excited, the lore and plot is so eerie, like I can't describe how cool it was! I love the little bow too! Good job on the game man! I really like it, and it seems other people do too! I wanna say more but I don't wanna spoil it, Anways 10/10 for sure.

Loved this. I won't lie, I didn't think I was going to be as interested in the lore as I thought I was going to be.
SPOILERS:
I managed to guess roughly the extinction of humanity, the mutations, and disappearance of land just from our interaction with Typus and the dialogue in the stream with Odus. Finding out I was right was really rewarding!
I especially loved the detail that the mermaids the way they do because we're a mermaid ourselves. I kinda wish we got to see Typus and Viperfish but I enjoyed the experience.
The designs of the characters are amazing too (another reason I wanted to see the others through the non-mermaid lens). They perfectly encapsulate each character and their respective archetypes.
OH MY GOD. THIS IS THE BEST VISUAL NOVEL I EVER PLAYED. I love the lore, background, and genre omg 😭🩷🩷🩷 and I love Viperfish personality and design sooo bad, wish there's his route 🥺
